Appliance manufacturing — end-of-line functional test
A request/response contract between test-stand PLCs and a MySQL MES, so a new product model is a database row instead of a logic change.
Process control — commissioning tools
A web tool that fits a FOPDT model to step-test data from the plant historian and turns it into IMC-tuned controller settings, with fit quality reported.
Dairy — food production
Linked a newer S7-1200 to an existing S7-300 in a dairy plant with S7 PUT/GET communication, so the two controllers share data over Ethernet instead of extra hardwired signals.
Healthcare — hospital energy management
Energy monitoring for a public hospital with rooftop solar — power-meter data in Siemens Energy Manager PRO, with dashboards of use per building and the electricity cost calculated from it.
Food processing — vegetable-oil plant, bulk material handling
Wrote the PLC program and HMI myself for a big-bag filling line in a vegetable-oil plant — every machine from the start of the line to the end, with fill-by-weight and on-site commissioning.
Brewery — keg conveying and filling line
Replaced the ageing control cabinets of a brewery keg line — S7-300 and Pro-face panels to S7-1500, Comfort panels, safety relays and new drives — on a running plant, from bid to handover.
University process-control work — my B.Eng. thesis, then part-time with a professor: training rigs, digital twins, courses and the cloud lab students use.

A VPN-only AWS server where every student's Simulink run lands in InfluxDB and Grafana, with Single-loop, Cascade and MPC models that switch between simulation and the real rig.

Process control research — pressure loop
Identified a real pressure loop from ten step tests on an S7-1200 rig, tuned PID_Compact from the fitted model, and showed why one fixed PID cannot cover the whole operating range.
